Job Description:
This position is for a recent graduate passionate about using data to solve complex problems. As a Junior Data Scientist, you will apply statistical and machine learning techniques to real-world datasets, contributing to projects that impact our products and strategy. You will receive mentorship to grow your technical and business acumen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work on all stages of a data science project: from problem definition and data acquisition to model deployment insights.
- Build, evaluate, and interpret machine learning models under supervision.
- Communicate complex analytical results and technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Write clean, reusable code in a collaborative environment using Git for version control.
- Conduct research to identify new data sources and analytical techniques.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a highly quantitative field. Exceptional Bachelor’s graduates will be considered.
- Hands-on project experience with Python (scikit-learn, pandas) or R.
- Strong theoretical understanding of machine learning algorithms and statistics.
- Experience with Git and collaborative coding practices.
- A portfolio of academic or personal data science projects is highly valued.
